Focus timer · App blocker · A map that grows

Back to your hobbies.
Go far.

Farstep blocks the apps that pull at you for as long as you choose, so the hours go to a book, a sketchbook, a guitar, a run. While you are away, a quiet journey goes on to an epic soundtrack, and the map grows with every quest.

The Farstep map: a camp in The Drowned Vale, a destination chosen and a one-hour quest ready to set out
The walk during a quest: an autumn wood in Emberfields, by day

Why Farstep

The book is where you left it.

The book with the folded corner. The sketchbook you stopped carrying. The guitar waiting in the corner of the room. They are all still there. Farstep gives them back your time, and every hour you give them grows the map a little more.

How a quest works

Choose, leave, walk, return.

Choosing a direction on the map and a one-hour quest

Choose a direction

Tap the map. Pick how long.

Tap where you want to head, then choose how long you'll be away: 25 minutes, 45, an hour or two. The length sets how far the quest reaches.

What a blocked app shows during a quest

Leave apps behind

Block what usually wins.

Choose the apps that pull at you. Until the timer ends, opening one shows a block screen instead of the feed. Blocking runs on Apple's Screen Time, the same system iOS uses for its own app limits.

Your quest waits on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, with the time remaining. Need to stop? Turn back at any time and the block lifts at once.

The walk by night toward Saltreach Coast, with a lantern and fireflies

Put the phone down

The journey goes on without you.

A calm first-person walk through the land you chose, by day or by night, with an original fantasy score, footsteps, wind and birdsong. Follow along if you like, or lay the phone down and forget it.

Back on the map after a quest: Discovered, The Leaning Stones

Come back

The map opens a little more.

When the quest is done, the pen draws the leg you walked and the fog lifts. Towers, mills, chapels, wrecks and standing stones wait to be found. Only completed quests are drawn on the map.

Epic music for the journey

Twelve lands, day or night.

From autumn woods and drowned marshes to snowfields and far deserts. Every walk has its own light, its own sounds and a score of cello, low choir, harp and horn, calm enough to read, draw or practise to.

An original score

Written for the walk, not borrowed from a playlist.

The land around you

Footsteps, wind, birdsong, crickets after dark.

Yours to quiet

Music and sounds turn off from the walk. Both keep playing with the screen locked.

What you keep

A world made of time away.

The map after 39 quests: legs inked across the lands, with places found along the way

A map that expands

Every completed quest inks a new leg and pushes back the fog. The more you go, the more there is to find.

A plain record

Quests completed, hours charted, places found. Written over the map, nothing more.

The Flame

A streak of days with a completed quest. Miss a day and it falls to embers; complete a quest the next day and it burns on.

A morning reminder, if you want one

One quiet line at dawn when the day's quest is still ahead. Off unless you allow it.

Made to be put down

A quiet place to leave running.

No feed, no ads, no score to chase.

The app never competes for the attention it exists to protect. The walk is calm on purpose.

Progress is never for sale.

Places, quests and the Flame come only from time spent away. A subscription buys room, never progress.

Private by design.

No account and no sign-in. The apps you block are handled by Apple's Screen Time and never leave your iPhone. Analytics are anonymous, with no tracking. Privacy policy
